Floradora Arrives in the West Village
Floradora, a new restaurant and bar from Cody Pruitt and Jacob Cohen, is located in the former Chateau Royale space at 205 Thompson Street. Executive Chef Vanessa Velez oversees the kitchen, while Pruitt developed the beverage program
Floradora takes inspiration from New York’s dining traditions and the Italian-American history of the West Village. The menu combines familiar dishes with international flavors.
The two-story space features warm wood interiors, Tiffany-style lighting, and vintage-inspired décor. It features more than 50 portraits of artists, musicians, writers, and other cultural figures on the walls. Floradora is designed for drinks at the bar, dinner with friends, late-night cocktails, and eventually weekend brunch.
Cody Pruitt and Jacob Cohen lead Floradora. Pruitt is also behind Libertine and has partnered with Cohen on Chateau Royale and Capitaine. Executive Chef Vanessa Velez brings her experience to Floradora, where she leads the kitchen.
