Salvaged from the wreckage of the beloved West Village bistro Libertine, a concept called Capitaine is preparing to set sail at 684 Greenwich St. The official Instagram for Libertine has been rebranded, and the only post for Capitaine, as of this writing, is the image of a lobster in a martini glass with the caption, “See you soon.”

The turnaround would appear to be a quick one, with the last day of service at Libertine having been May 23. Co-owners Cody Pruitt and Jacob Cohen reportedly still had time on their lease and were happy with the space, according to Eater. What Now New York is currently collecting more details from the restaurant’s PR team.
