Ibérico is a new wine and tapas bar that is opening in Brooklyn. It will bring a new dining and nightlife destination for local diners. Its menu will feature Spanish and Portuguese wines along with a selection of tapas.
Ibérico Brings Spanish and Portuguese Wines to Fort Greene

Ibérico is a new neighborhood bar opening at 258 DeKalb Avenue in Fort Greene on November 5. The bar was founded by Chef Felipe Donnelly and Wine Director Tamy Rofe, the couple behind the nearby Latin American restaurant Colonia Verde. The concept is inspired by the couple’s years living in Portugal.
The concept draws on the couple’s experiences in Portugal and their connections with winemakers, as well as the food and drinking traditions of Spain and Portugal. It combines the atmosphere of traditional Spanish neighborhood bars with the relaxed character of Fort Greene.
The bar’s space was brought together with the help of several creative professionals. Alatz Ortega developed the cocktail menu and selected the vermouths. Camila Forero oversaw the design and build-out. Brooklyn-based furniture designer John Sorensen-Jolink of Coil & Drift contributed lighting, while Polonsky & Friends created the bar’s visual identity.
Ibérico is designed as a neighborhood bar for guests looking to enjoy wine, cocktails, and small plates.
What to Expect on Ibérico’s Menu

Ibérico’s menu offers an expertly curated Spanish and Portuguese wine list paired with a selection of tapas. The dishes include pan con tomate, boquerones, and tortilla española de Betanzos. Another menu item is rissóis de leitão, Portuguese pastries filled with shredded roast pork.
The drinks menu includes vermouth from different parts of the world. It also features sherry and classic-inspired cocktails. Ibérico will be open Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight and on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
