With its rustic interiors, Old World Italian charm and timeless tunes from Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, Olio e Piu brings a taste of Italy to NoMad.

The traditional eatery, from The Group Hospitality, will open its latest location at 1132 Broadway, according to Traded NY.

The new location will join Olio e Piu’s existing restaurants in Greenwich Village, Bryant Park and the East Village, along with outposts in Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

Described as an authentic trattoria, the restaurant offers a menu led by Executive Chef Danilo Galati, featuring housemade pasta, hand-stretched pizza and classic Italian dishes.

Standout entrees include branzino estivo with smoked celery root, zucchini and lemon oil, and chicken scaloppine with lemon, sage, marbled potatoes and sauteed vegetables. The menu also evolves with the seasons, highlighting fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Chef Galati was born and raised in Imperia, Italy, where he developed a passion for cooking while making homemade pasta with his grandmother, Irma.

After graduating from culinary school IPSSAR in Alassio, he trained at culinary institutes across Europe, refining his skills under renowned chefs. In 2000, he earned a Michelin star while working at Vinaiolo in Munich. Beyond the kitchen, Galati champions culinary education and mentorship.

No Italian dining experience is complete without a curated wine selection and a classic dessert menu. Olio e Più delivers with its tiramisu, made with mascarpone mousse, ladyfingers and a light espresso syrup infused with a touch of amaretto.

Behind the restaurant’s dessert menu is Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Baptiste Scordel, whose extensive culinary background mirrors that of Chef Galati.

He was born in southern France and developed a passion for pastry through his Michelin-starred chef father and Italian mother. He trained at Michelin-starred restaurants in Monaco and Paris, including L’Abeille, where he worked under acclaimed pastry chef François Perret. Chef Scordel blends French and Italian influences to create elegant desserts.

The team has yet to announce the new location’s details. Visit the Olio e Piu website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
