2026 could really be the new 2016!
A New York-born restaurant inspired by the South of France is set to make its long-awaited return this winter.
Bagatelle, founded by French entrepreneurs Remi Laba and Aymeric Clemente, will open at 413-419 W. 14th St. in the Meatpacking District.
“The homecoming. A new chapter. Opening winter 2026,” the team shared in a recent Instagram post.
The original Bagatelle, located at 1 Little W. 12th St., became known for its champagne-fueled brunches, blending fine dining with a lively atmosphere featuring DJs, champagne presentations and dancing during service.
“Bagatelle is dedicated to a clientele of epicureans seeking the pleasures of life: eating good food, drinking good wine, popping champagne and having the best time while doing it,” the website reads.
The post sparked widespread excitement and nostalgia among followers.
“Let’s do Meatpacking like it’s 2016 all over again,” one commented.
“Bagatelle Sunday brunch -> boom boom room -> PhD sunset -> Sundays at 1Oak. Almost back to 2016,” another commented.
“Getting my bandage dress ready for the homecoming!” one said.
Since its debut in 2008, Bagatelle has expanded across the U.S. and internationally, with locations in Athens, London, Bodrum, Dubai, Los Cabos, Miami, Montauk and St. Barths.
In 2017, CBS News included Bagatelle in its list of New York City’s best restaurants for celebrity sightings. Over the years, the restaurant has attracted high-profile guests, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Sofia Vergara, Paris Hilton and cast members of “The Real Housewives of New York.”
