Delphine is opening its doors in New York City this week. The opening brings a new dining destination to the city. The concept is brought by four experienced hospitality professionals.
Delphine to Open at Ace Hotel
Delphine is opening inside Ace Hotel NoMad at 16 W. 29th St. in New York City on October 29. It will combine classic French dishes with modern flavors, tableside martinis, and a lively dining atmosphere. The restaurant will serve breakfast daily from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. until late.
Delphine was founded by hospitality professionals Karim Amatullah, Lionel “KyKy” Conille, Mino Habib, and Mathias Van Leyden. Together, they bring their experience in restaurants, nightlife, and luxury hospitality to the new venue.
Amatullah has more than 20 years of hospitality experience and has worked in a front-of-house role at Cipriani. Conille is a nightlife entrepreneur whose past projects include PM, Provocateur, and Merkato. Habib and Van Leyden have worked together on concepts including Loulou Petit Bistro & Speakeasy and Le Petit Village.
Restaurant Atmosphere and Menu Highlights
Delphine combines vintage-inspired design with modern details, featuring brass fixtures, distressed mirrors, dark red tones, and curved furniture. It will have a white-and-gold ceiling and framed fashion illustrations that will add to the space’s look.
Delphine spans two floors and has 80 seats. The ground floor features a bar, an open-kitchen view, and the main dining room. The upper floor has a more intimate seating area overlooking the restaurant.
Chef Jarett Brodie oversees the menu at Delphine. Menu highlights include Oysters on the Half Shell, Steak Tartare, Foie Gras Torchon, Steak au Poivre, and Moules Marinières, among others. The bar menu offers the signature Delphine Martini, which is available with gin or vodka and served tableside from a chilled carafe. Guests can also order Champagne by the glass and classic cocktails like the French 75, Negroni, Sidecar, and Boulevardier.
