The Stand West is a new comedy club and restaurant in New York City. It will host stand-up comedy, live performances, and other events. The venue will also offer food and drinks through partnerships with local businesses.
The Stand West to Open at Chelsea Market

The Stand West will open on November 6 at 407 West Street inside Chelsea Market in Manhattan. The new venue is an extension of The Stand, a comedy club and restaurant founded in 2012. It was founded by brothers Paolo and Cris Italia, along with Patrick Milligan and David Kimowitz.
Over the years, The Stand has hosted comedians such as Pete Davidson, Marcello Hernández, Chris DiStefano, and Nate Bargatze.
The Stand West has already hosted Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell and Michael Che. Its programming will also include live podcast recordings, watch parties, and other special performances.
The new venue takes over a 3,500 square feet space and can seat 150-170 guests during regular shows. It can host up to 244 people for private events.
The venue also features a large 16-foot by 8-foot curved LED screen. This will support digital content, which will allow performers to reach audiences beyond the venue.
Food and Cocktail Highlights

The Stand West bar will feature a huge range of draft drinks, cocktails, wine and spirits. Beverage Director Deena Sayers has created a cocktail menu that will feature fresh ingredients and premium spirits. Some of its signature drinks will include Clean Set, a lychee martini; Dirty Set, a whiskey sour; and The Usher, a popcorn-inspired spritz.
The food menu will offer items from local Chelsea Market businesses and restaurant concepts. Restaurateur Peter Tondreau’s N’Between Bar will lead the initial collaboration, with plans to add dishes from Maki A Mano and his other concepts.
The menu options will include truffle fries, karaage fried chicken, and a fried chicken sandwich. The venue will also offer a brick oven for freshly baked pizzas, including Pizza a Portfolio, which is a traditional Neapolitan folded pizza.
