Toys “R” Us, a toy retailer offering toys, games, collectibles, LEGO, dolls, and action figures, is getting ready to open a dedicated storefront in Northridge at 9301 Tampa Avenue.
The new store is set to move into the former home of Guess Brand at Northridge Fashion Center, on Level 2, according to WhatNewSFV. An exact opening date has not been announced. Go! Retail Group, the company behind Toys “R” Us, said it has been opening flagship stores and holiday shops across the country, with more pop-up locations launching soon, including Long Beach Towne Center, Los Cerritos Center, and Brentwood.
The Northridge location will be part of Go! Retail Group’s ongoing expansion of Toys “R” Us stores across the country. The company said its stores can include interactive play zones and Geoffrey meet-and-greets, although it has not been specified whether those features will be available at the Northridge location.
Go! Retail Group has operated since 1993 and has grown from its early pop-up retail operations into a family of brands with year-round stores, e-commerce, in-house brands, and logistics services. Its portfolio includes Go! Toys and Games, Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us, Calendars.com, Attic Salt, and several other brands.
Go! Retail Group describes itself as a family business focused on retail, innovation, and its relationships with customers and communities. The company’s Toys “R” Us stores carry products across categories including toys, games, puzzles, collectibles, and licensed merchandise.
Toys “R” Us currently has flagship stores and holiday shops in shopping centers across the country, including several California locations. The Northridge store will add another dedicated Toys “R” Us location to the company’s retail lineup, bringing the brand into Northridge Fashion Center.
