Ralphs, an American supermarket chain in Southern California, appears to be interested in moving to a larger location in Burbank at 1000 N. San Fernando Boulevard.
The company recently submitted a liquor license application to open in the former home of Kmart, which is next door to an existing freestanding Ralphs at 1100 N. San Fernando Boulevard. No opening date has been announced, and plans have yet to be confirmed by the company.
“Ralphs is continually evaluating opportunities to serve our customers better and meet the needs of the communities we serve,” a Ralphs spokesperson tells WhatNow Los Angeles when asked about the development. “We are exploring options within the area, but plans remain under evaluation, and we do not have additional details to share at this time.”
The company’s website states that its teams work year-round to bring fresh, quality food to customers at prices families can count on. The company also highlights pickup and delivery options, personalized savings, fuel points, and Boost membership. Its website states that the company serves 11 million customers daily and has approximately 400,000 associates company-wide.
Ralphs also highlights its efforts to address hunger and food waste through its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative. Its brands include private label offerings, natural and organic products, fresh poultry and meat, baby and toddler products, pet products, and other grocery items. The website also highlights Private Selection and Everyday Essentials among its brands.
