According to public filings, a new restaurant is planned for the southeast corner of South La Brea Avenue and Sixth Street in Los Angeles, where the property owner has received approval to serve a full range of alcoholic beverages.

The restaurant is planned for 600-606 S. La Brea Ave. and would occupy a 5,707-square-foot space. According to Larchmont Buzz, the proposed concept may be called Meet Me at 6.

What Now Los Angeles reached out to operator David Bina for additional information about the project, but did not receive a response prior to press time. The space was previously home to 6th & La Brea Brewery & Restaurant, a brewpub and sports bar that has since closed, according to Yelp.

The application describes the planned menu as “clean, simple, and refreshing.” The approved plan allows up to 135 indoor seats and 108 outdoor seats, including 68 seats in the public right-of-way. Authorized operating hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Patio dining must close by 10 p.m. daily.

The South La Brea corridor has been one of Los Angeles’ most closely watched dining stretches in recent years.

What Now Los Angeles has previously covered several openings along the same corridor, including LOQUI’s sixth location at 176 S. La Brea Ave. in Mid-Wilshire, Leopardo at the former La Brea Bakery flagship at 460-468 S. La Brea Ave.
