Brooklyn-born cafe chain to debut at Plano Gateway. According to public filings, Grizzly Coffee & Tea House plans to open its first Texas location at 245 Shiloh Road, inside Plano Gateway.
What Now Dallas reached out to franchisee Halima Abdul, who was not ready to confirm a firm opening timeline at this time, but pointed to early 2027 as a broad target. Permit filings show a construction completion date by December 2026.
Grizzly Coffee & Tea House describes itself as blending American coffeehouse staples with Pakistani-inspired beverages and snacks, serving a halal menu that includes hand-slaughtered chicken. Among its most talked-about offerings is a Pakistani-style whipped coffee, along with desi chai made with loose-leaf tea, milk, and cinnamon.
The Plano location will mark the brand’s flagship Texas debut, joining existing locations in New York and New Jersey. Grizzly Coffee & Tea House currently operates multiple locations across Brooklyn, including in the Bensonhurst, Coney Island, and Kensington neighborhoods.
What Now Dallas previosuly reported, on Five Spice, a combined grocery and restaurant concept planned for the same stretch of road, joining Madina Market, an existing halal meat shop and Middle Eastern cafe known for its shawarma, mandi, and grilled kabobs, just up the street.
