Chai Society is preparing to open in Placentia at 501 W. Crowther Ave., Suite 180, according to the company’s official website. The site currently lists the location as Coming Soon and invites visitors to sign up for updates about the store opening, although the website does not currently provide a specific opening date for the store.

Founded by American-born Pakistani siblings Simra and Aaqib Lakhani, Chai Society is designed to be more than a café, offering a gathering space where Pakistani flavors, traditions, and community come together. The concept centers on the familiar comfort of freshly brewed chai, traditional spices, and the warmth of shared conversations.

With an atmosphere intended to feel like home, Chai Society seeks to create a welcoming space where guests can connect over food and drinks while experiencing elements of Pakistani culture. The siblings vision is rooted in creating a sense of belonging, bringing together familiar flavors and meaningful social connections in a setting that celebrates the Desi experience.

According to the company’s website, Chai Society centers its concept on traditional South Asian chai and Desi cuisine. The company describes its chai as being prepared using family recipes and spices sourced directly from Pakistan.

The business also prides itself for its a community-oriented chai shop with seating and free WiFi. The menu is built around chai beverages, including traditional masala chai and other chai specialties.

The Desi Kitchen offers hot snacks, while its broader food and beverage program includes fusion specialties alongside its traditional chai selections. Chai Society also offers catering and events, according to its website.
