A new restaurant is set to open in Philadelphia.
Corte, a concept by former Vernick employees Ryan Mulholland, David Feola and James Smith, will debut at East Market behind Iron Hill Brewery and across from Mi Vida, Philadelphia Inquirer’s Michael Klein shared via Instagram.
East Market is a mixed-use development in Center City spanning several blocks along Market Street between City Hall and 11th Street. The development combines apartments, retail, restaurants and office space.
The trio also founded Italian restaurant concept Corio.
Corte has already generated buzz on social media among foodies familiar with Corio, which is known for its house-made pasta and pizza.
While details remain limited, Corte will take over the former Mulherin’s Pizzeria space. Could pizza make its way onto the menu, or will the trio introduce something entirely new? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned!
