A new luxury and drink experience is planned for West Loop
A Ma Maniere is coming to the Chicago area as owner James Whitner submitted a liquor license application for 1144 W Washington Boulevard, Floor 1. While this is the name of a shoe store chain around the country, Whitner applied for consumption on premises and an outdoor patio, suggesting a bar or restaurant. The new location has not been officially announced by the team.
The shoe store chain currently operates at three locations in Atlanta, Houston and Washington D.C. in Atlanta specifically, the team has opened concepts inside his footwear store including Passed Plates, a Sunday lunch spot, Maison Supper dinner party and The Night Cap liquor tasting event. As an outdoor patio is in the application, this may be used for the new concept for either food or drinks.
The new business is coming to the north side of W Washington Boulevard, close to The Publishing House hotel and The Press Room cocktail bar. The Original Pancake House and H Bar are also across the street. Nearest transit to the address is the Morgan Green and Pink line CTA station.
When What Now Chicago reached out to Whitner, he did not want to provide any information on his new concept. More information on A Ma Maniere and store locations can be found on their website.
