Cosmic Pretzel is one of the newest food options to come to Area15. According to a recently filed City of Las Vegas permit, the new eatery is slated to open at the multi-purpose entertainment destination at 3040 Rigel Ave, Suite 175.
The new dining experience is part of a massive 2026 dining and retail expansion at the immersive 40-acre entertainment complex. The plan is to open Cosmic Pretzel before the end of this year.
At the helm of the opening is Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group, run by the owner and founder of Bonanno’s New York Pizzeria, Frank Bonanno.
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Bonanno to find out more about the exciting new opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group operates more than forty restaurants in the Las Vegas area, including the food courts at the MGM Grand, the Venetian, New York New York, the Flamingo Hotel, the Luxor Hotel, the Bally’s Hotel, the Excalibur Hotel, the Monte Carlo Casino and the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino,” the Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group website reads
“We also operate in Downtown Summerlin, where our famous Trattoria Reggiano and Bonanno’s Restaurant & Bar establishments are located.”
Hailing from Bergen County, New Jersey, and from a family of Sicilian and Tuscan heritage, Bonanno originally pursued a finance degree from the University of Denver, graduating in 1990. Deciding instead to follow his passion for food, he attended the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and honed his skills staging at legendary coastal restaurants like Gramercy Tavern and The French Laundry. His premier flagship French-influenced fine dining room, Mizuna, opened in 2001 and became a runaway success, and remains a legendary city staple.
Cosmic Pretzel is a fast-casual space-themed snack spot. The new spot fits right into the immersive, outer-space-inspired environment of the Las Vegas district. Cosmic Pretzel is said to offer classic pretzel twists remade into flying saucers, rocket ships, and other galactic forms.
What Now also reached out to Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group’s Vice President of Operations, Jon Newton. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
The new eatery does not yet have a website or social media pages. But we’re sure more will be revealed as we inch closer to opening. So keep your ears perked and your eyes peeled for the latest.
