Houston Texas Hot Chicken is coming to North Las Vegas. According to “coming soon” signs on a building in North Las Vegas, the new Houston Texas Hot Chicken is expected to open at 855 East Craig Road.

The building looks like it’s near completion, so we suspect that the new HHC will open before the end of this year. The opening will be a first in North Las Vegas for Houston Texas Hot Chicken.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Houston Texas Hot Chicken Vice President of Operations Matthew Rush to find out more about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, our hot chicken sandwiches will hit the spot,” the Houston Texas Hot Chicken website reads.

“At HHC, we make everything from scratch with the freshest ingredients. Our chicken is all-natural, never frozen, and halal-certified.”

Despite its name, the fast-casual Nashville-style hot chicken chain actually originated right here in Las Vegas.  Founder Edmond Barseghian started the concept as a home-cooking passion project and recipe experiment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first restaurant opened in August 2021 and quickly went viral. Backed by a Savory Fund investment in October 2023 and led by brand president Brian Simowitz, the chain rapidly expanded across multiple states, including Nevada, Arizona, California, Utah, Washington, and Michigan. HHC later expanded into Texas with locations in cities like College Station, Houston, and Katy, including a prominent spot at LaCenterra.

There are now at least 29 Houston TX Hot Chicken locations operating across the United States and internationally.

The “Houston” in the brand name comes from early business partner Houston Crosta, and the menu features a unique signature twist with bold, tangy sauces and spice levels up to the extreme “Houston, We Have A Problem” (2 million Scoville heat units).

“Our spice levels range from “no spice” to “Houston We Have A Problem” (waiver required), so there’s something for everyone,” the brand’s website reads.

“We serve Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches, salads, loaded fries, tenders, waffles, and more. Our signature house sauce is a must-try, but we also have specialty spice levels ranging from mild to super hot.”

Try it all out for yourself when the new Houston Texas Hot Chicken opens for the first time in North Las Vegas at 855 East Craig Road later this year.
