Golf Rx is expanding its indoor golf concept to the northwest suburbs of Boston.
The brand recently announced plans to open at 17 Arlington Street, Suite 1 in Dracut, bringing its high-tech golf simulators to a third Massachusetts location. An official opening date has not yet been announced, but the Dracut facility is expected to open in the fall of 2026.
“We’re excited to announce that Golf Rx Indoor Golf is coming to Dracut, MA! ” the team shared this week on social media. “We’ve been working hard to bring the Golf Rx experience to even more golfers, and we can’t wait to tee it up with the Dracut community!”
Founded in October 2023 by co-owners Alex Jarvis and Jon Normandin, Golf Rx opened its first location in Gardner before expanding to Leominster last fall. The concept offers golfers a way to play year-round without worrying about weather or the Massachusetts offseason.
The new Dracut location will feature three indoor golf bays, each equipped with top-of-the-line launch monitor technology and GSPro software. According to Jarvis and Normandin, the setup will give golfers access to more than 2,000 courses, along with a variety of ways to play, practice, and compete.
Players hit real golf balls inside the bays while launch monitors track each shot, capturing data and accurately translating the ball flight onto a digital screen. Golfers can use the technology to work on their game, practice individual shots, or play a full simulated round without ever stepping onto an outdoor course.
The bays are designed to accommodate full swings, making the experience suitable for everything from a solo practice session to a round with friends. And while the focus is obviously on golf, Jarvis and Normandin want the Dracut location to feel like more than a place to work on your swing.
Like the existing Golf Rx locations, the new facility will offer beer, wine, and canned mixed drinks, creating a more social atmosphere for golfers and groups. “The idea is to make it more than just a place to hit golf balls but a fun place to spend a couple hours,” the owners told What Now Boston. Golf Rx does not serve food, but guests are welcome to bring in meals from local businesses.
Tee times are booked by the hour, with rates charged per bay rather than per person, making it especially easy to split the cost among a group of friends. Golfers can also create their own leagues, reserving a bay for weekly play and adding a little friendly competition to their routine.
The facilities can be booked for private events, including birthday parties, corporate outings, team-building activities, and gatherings with friends. Customizable packages allow groups to build an event around their time on the simulators.
For frequent golfers, Golf Rx offers a Players Pass membership for $20 per month. Members save $10 per hour compared with public rates and receive additional benefits available exclusively to Pass Holders.
Those looking to work on their game can book private lessons with one of Golf Rx’s instructors. Lessons are tailored to each golfer’s skill level and goals, whether they’re looking to fine-tune their swing, improve consistency, or simply get more comfortable on the course.
The team is currently working through the buildout and plans to announce the official opening date once it is finalized. “We’re really excited to bring Golf Rx to Dracut and hopefully introduce a lot of new people to indoor golf!” said Jarvis and Normandin.
