Sports Basement is expanding its Southern California footprint with a new West Los Angeles location at 11854 W. Olympic Blvd, according to posts from the company teasing the new store. At nearly 80,000 square feet, it will offer a wide selection of outdoor and sporting goods.
The retailer specializes in camping gear, bikes, skis, snowboards, team sports equipment, running shoes, workout gear, and other products. According to the brand’s website, the store is scheduled to open in November and will be the retailer’s newest location.
This location will also include several service departments, including a full-service bike shop offering tune-ups, cleanings, fits, and other services, as well as a snow shop for tunes, waxing, and repairs. A racket shop with stringing and gripping services will also be available, along with rentals.
Another notable feature planned for the project is a multi-story parking garage. Sports Basement also says it has plans to host high-end events on the garage’s rooftop section, adding an event component to the location.
The West Los Angeles store will join Sports Basement’s existing Southern California locations in Long Beach, Fountain Valley, and in the South Bay in Hawthorne. The company’s current store directory lists 15 locations across California.
