Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery is on the move! The beloved Southern eatery is working on another location, this time for Katy. According to the brand’s Facebook page and My Neighborhood News, the new Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery is expected to open in Old Town Katy at 6001 Highway Blvd.
The address does not belong to a traditional multi-store retail mall, but rather a commercial property and business plaza located in the historic Old Katy area. The property sits right on Highway 90 (Highway Blvd), positioned just west of FM 1463 and close to Katy High School. The site consists of a roughly 3.6-acre commercial tract that hosts a multi-unit commercial building, which has been home to various local businesses, trade services, and organizations over the years, such as Crossroads Family Fellowship, Tres Operating Company, and DSS Katy.
The new Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery will open alongside the brand’s new sister concept, Greenlee’s Mexican Kitchen.
The company will also be opening a Preslee’s in a former Webster landmark: The Hop Nite Club & Diner. After a 38-year run, The Hop officially closed on Tuesday, Aug. 4. That’s when the Piper Hospitality Group, the team behind Preslee’s, announced the upcoming opening.
What Now Houston reached out to Justin Piper, the owner of Piper Hospitality Group, and his brother Brandon, the co-owner of the growing Southern restaurant chain. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from the Pipers by the time of this publication.
