According to public filings, Olive Garden is planning a new restaurant in Kyle, bringing the Italian-American chain to 19865 IH 35 in Hays County.
Olive Garden is part of Darden Restaurants and is known for its Italian-American menu, including pasta, soups, salads, sauces, and its signature freshly baked breadsticks. The chain operates more than 900 restaurants across the United States, according to the company.
What Now Austin reached out to Olive Garden representatives to inquire about the opening timeline but did not receive an answer prior to publication. Construction completion on the new location is scheduled for December 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive.
The planned restaurant will be part of the growing Kyle Park development along the I-35 corridor. The project calls for a new Olive Garden restaurant at the site, adding another national dining brand to an area that has continued to attract new restaurant and retail activity.
The Kyle project follows recent coverage by What Now of new restaurant activity in the same area. What Now Austin reported on a planned LongHorn Steakhouse at 19889 IH 35, immediately adjacent to the planned Olive Garden. The LongHorn project is also part of the Kyle Park development, with construction scheduled to begin in December 2026.
What Now has also previously covered Olive Garden’s expansion in Texas, including a new location planned in Austin at 5010 W US Hwy 290 Service Road.
