Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is preparing a store at 2603 Thornton Lane in Temple’s South Loop Shopping Center, according to a project registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The filing shows a $560,000 renovation of a 33,504-square-foot space, including interior work, a new exterior ramp, and changes to the front facade. Construction is scheduled to begin December 14, 2026, and finish March 10, 2027. An opening date has not been announced.

Ollie’s opened its first store in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1982. The retailer buys overstock, discontinued items, and remaining inventory from closing businesses, then sells the goods at discounted prices.

Its stores carry household goods, kitchen supplies, bedding, books, toys, electronics, clothing, and packaged food. What shoppers find depends on available inventory.
