Chef Robbie Pacheco, known for Atlanta spots like Auburn Angel, will bring a contemporary Italian restaurant to Decatur in October. Luga Decatur is slated to open at 855 Commerce Drive.
Pacheco, who also operates Luga in East Cobb, told What Now Atlanta that the two restaurants have the same name but will have very distinct lanes. Luga Decatur will lean into a chef-driven menu featuring rustic Italian dishes. Highlights will include Pacheco’s gamberi, a shrimp dish that will be served with focaccia made in house, and a 40-ounce dry-age porterhouse cooked in cinnamon butter.
“We are very chef-driven here,” Pacheco said. “We want people to come here that enjoy food, and craft cocktails. It’s really more of your high-end, modern style of food.”
The space will have Florence-inspired elements and will be punctuated by a rustic-style mirror and decorative arch behind the bar.
After it opens later this fall, Luga Decatur will be open all day, serving brunch, lunch and dinner.
