Since 1994, Park Bench has been bringing late-night entertainment to Atlanta. Originally in Buckhead and later moving to The Battery Atlanta, the spot offers live music and dueling piano shows. Now, Park Bench is planning a second location in the Entertainment District at Centennial Yards.
“Park Bench has spent 32 years giving Atlanta a place to sing along with a live band, and downtown is where the city’s energy is headed next,” Larry Hall, founder and owner of Park Bench, said in a release. “Being steps from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena, inside a district built around live entertainment, is exactly where we want to be. We look forward to opening our doors and giving Atlantans and visitors another night they won’t forget.”
Park Bench is known for providing a performance space for Atlanta artists, including Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Zac Brown, who fronted Park Bench’s house band.
“Park Bench has been an Atlanta favorite for years, and bringing it to Centennial Yards is another step toward building the lively, welcoming entertainment district we’ve envisioned for downtown,” Brian McGowan, president of Centennial Yards Company, said in the release. “Live music and shared experiences bring people together, making Park Bench a natural fit. We’re excited to welcome this beloved local brand and its iconic dueling piano bar experience, giving people another great place to sing along, celebrate and have a good time in Downtown Atlanta.”
As of now, an opening timeline for Park Bench at Centennial Yards has not been announced.
The Irish Exit recently opened at the development, and Chops Lobster Bar, Varuni Napoli and Khao Thai Isan from the 26 Thai team are still on the way.
