Centennial Yards has added a new brand to its rapidly evolving lineup. Local pizza restaurant Varuni Napoli signed a lease at the development and will open its fourth location in the Entertainment District there, according to a release.
Luca Varuni, the owner of Varuni Napoli, confirmed the expansion plans in a phone call with What Now Atlanta and shared that the new location is expected to open sometime in 2027.
Varuni Napoli is known for its Neapolitan pies, ranging from build-your-own pizza options to signature pizzas. Varuni launched the brand in 2014 with a Midtown location and expanded to a second location in 2017 at Krog Street Market. The brand will open its third location this July in Dunwoody. The Varuni Napoli space at Centennial Yards will feature 900-degree wood-fired ovens and their signature pies.
“Varuni Napoli is more than just a pizzeria — it’s a celebration of Italian culture and community,” Brian McGowan, president of Centennial Yards Company, said in the release. “Chef Luca Varuni’s passion for authentic cooking and his ability to create a welcoming, high-energy environment make Varuni Napoli a natural fit for our vision. As we thoughtfully curate a dynamic mix of culinary offerings, its commitment to tradition and quality makes it an exceptional addition to the diverse dining experiences we’re building at Centennial Yards.”
Centennial Yards recently welcomed New York bar The Irish Exit and has other brands lined up to join the development, including Chops Lobster Bar and The Busy Bee.
