Valvoline Instant Oil Change is planning a new service center at 1530 Babcock Road in San Antonio. A project registration filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation describes a 2,673-square-foot building with a lube pit.
The filing estimates construction costs at $1.449 million. It lists a March 22, 2027, start date and a Sept. 27, 2027, completion date. An opening date has not been announced.
The project is linked to Velocity Auto Care’s expansion in the San Antonio market.
At existing Valvoline centers, drivers can stay in their cars for an oil change that typically takes about 15 minutes. No appointment is required.
Full-service oil changes include a new filter and an 18-point maintenance check covering items such as tire pressure, lights, and fluid levels. The chain also offers battery and air-filter replacement.
