A fashionable boutique is getting ready to embrace-and be embraced by-Loudoun shoppers. Monkee’s of Loudoun is completing construction on its upcoming home and will be ready to welcome guests next month.
The store will be opening as part of the One Loudoun shopping center. Helmed by Tonya Klause, Monkee’s of Loudoun will be throwing open the doors of its 1,600 square foot home on October 15. Klause plans to make the concept’s arrival a truly memorable experience; throughout opening weekend Monkee’s will be featuring giveaways and various in-store treats.
Klause kindly spoke with What Now DC about introducing Monkee’s to the area, explaining that the store offers stock that transcends age. She states: “When I first stepped foot into a Monkee’s, not only did I find a dress that I loved, but I picked up a favorite pair of earrings and my daughter found a purse that she still considers one of her favorites. I love the idea of generational shopping and design.”
One Loudoun provides the sort of varied retail environment where Monkee’s can thrive. Klause explains: “One Loudoun has significant momentum as a shopping, dining and leisure destination — Monkee’s will fit beautifully among other boutiques as well as the larger chain favorites that are coming to One Loudoun.”
Shoppers can expect to peruse the store’s wares in a warm and welcoming environment which Klause describes, saying: “At Monkee’s of Loudoun, we’re inspired by Loudoun’s rich wine country, so through layers of plum and green, our space celebrates fashion as wearable art while honoring the designers, artists and women entrepreneurs behind the brands we carry. Whether browsing our apparel racks or relaxing in our living room (a Monkee’s staple), we want every guest to feel beautifully at home and we’re creating a space where that can happen.”
Klause and her team are looking forward to welcoming the community to Monkee’s. She states: “Loudoun residents and visitors want and deserve an upscale shopping destination that’s nearby. We are so excited to be part of this growing community.”
