Takoma Park locals looking for a new and welcoming neighborhood hangout-the kind of place where everybody knows your name-get excited. Celebrated chef Brad Feickert has you covered with MilePost 7, his newest project which promises to bring delicious food, live entertainment, and great atmosphere to the local dining scene, reports MoCo Show.
MilePost 7 will be greeting customers at 8000 Flower Avenue in the space that previously housed Mansa Kunda. Feickert, the culinary mind behind favorites like Soko Butcher and Koman, has high hopes for what the restaurant will bring to Takoma Park, saying: “Takoma Park has supported us in such a meaningful way, and we’re pumped to bring something new to this side of the community. This is a place we hope people will make their own – whether that means a quick drink after work, dinner with friends, watching the game or brunch with the family.”
While an opening date has not yet been announced for MilePost 7, the concept’s social media presence is stirring up considerable excitement among area foodies, whetting appetites with teases of what promises to be a delicious and memorable menu. The menu has not been fully announced, but MilePost 7’s Instagram page shows that it will be offering a pub burger and chips and describes its approach to its food and drink as: “We’ve always wanted a bar that couldn’t be put in a box—seriously great food and drinks, without taking ourselves too seriously.”
MilePost 7 will have “Great beer, champagne on draft, killer cocktails, and a $5 happy hour.”, a direct reflection of Feickert’s vision for the space as: “the kind of pub you find in a small town – a place with really good food and drinks, sports on the TVs, good music, and neighbors catching up over a few beers after work.”
