New Restaurants Opening Across New York
Several restaurant openings previously reported by WhatNow last week that are planned across New York City. Here’s a look at the upcoming openings.
Ess-a-Bagel
Ess-a-Bagel is expanding its presence in New York with a new location. The new store will be located at 10 Murray Street. The store has yet to announce an opening timeline.
Ess-a-Bagel was founded by Gene and Florence Wilpon and Florence’s brother, Aaron Wenzelberg. The business serves kettle-boiled bagels baked fresh in-store daily, along with cream cheeses, tofu spreads, butters and jellies.

Pepe & Vera
Pepe & Vera is an Italian restaurant planned for Manhattan’s Upper East Side. It will be located at 1712 1st Avenue. The restaurant has yet to announce its opening timeline.
Pepe & Vera is a new dining concept that promises Italian food, great wine, and warm hospitality. Chef Caterina Pepe owns the restaurant and previously operated Italian pastry shop Cerasella in Long Island City.

Flight Club
Flight Club is a U.K.-born concept that is opening in New York City. It will be located at 31 Union Square W. and will be opening this fall. The location will combine social darts with a food and cocktail menu.
Flight Club’s ‘Social Darts’ format uses dart-tracking technology and automatic scoring for multiplayer games. Each location has multiple “Oche,” or dart-playing areas, with interaction screens, allowing players of all skill levels to play together. The brand currently has 11 U.S. locations, with three locations listed as “coming soon.”

Five Guys
Five Guys is planning a new location at 721 7th Avenue in Times Square, marking its second location in the area. It will span two floors, with the team targeting its opening before Thanksgiving.
Five Guys is a popular fast-casual burger chain that is known for its made-to-order burgers, fresh-cut fries, and complimentary peanuts. It currently operates 13 other locations across Manhattan.

Nimit Palace
Nimit Palace is a new Indian restaurant that will open on Mercer Street. It will bring authentic Indian flavors to the community sometime this year. However, the team has yet to announce its opening timeline and address.
Nimit Palace has been serving traditional Indian food at 104 White Horse Road since 2010. It is owned by local resident Ashu Singh, while his father, Ranjeet Singh, is the main chef.
