Tropical Smoothie Café is coming to 3411 Memorial Boulevard, Suite A6, Murfreesboro, in the Publix shopping center across from the VA. The announcement was shared by MurfreesboroTN on Instagram, which identified the address and location of the incoming cafe. The post also indicates that the project is under construction, although an opening date has not been announced.
According to John Iaccheri, who also announced the project on September 21, crews are already working on the buildout at the new Murfreesboro location.
The new café will expand Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s existing presence in Murfreesboro. The company’s official location directory currently lists a cafe at 1855 Medical Center Parkway in the city.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in made-to-order smoothies alongside a broader food menu. According to the company, its offerings include smoothies, wraps, flatbreads, bowls and ’dillas, with menu categories also covering breakfast, kids’ items, sweets and sides.
The incoming location will be part of a national franchise system. Blackstone completed its acquisition of Tropical Smoothie Cafe in June 2024, acquiring the franchisor from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners. At the time, Blackstone described Tropical Smoothie Café as a national fast-casual brand with more than 1,400 locations across 44 states.
For the Murfreesboro project, construction is underway, while an official opening date remains unannounced. The new café will bring another Tropical Smoothie Café option to the Memorial Boulevard corridor once the buildout is complete.
