A new bookstore-bar that brings coffee, books and cocktails under one roof is on its way to Atlanta. Bourbon + Lit is looking to open in a 1,820-square-foot space at 528 Main St. NE, according to a recent NPU filing.

The menu features coffee and tea alongside syrups ranging from bourbon vanilla to lavender. The cocktail menu will offer classics like gin and tonic and an old fashioned, along with various spirits, wines, beers, ciders and zero-proof beverages, according to the Bourbon + Lit website.

“For us, bourbon lives in two extremes — as both upper and downer — a varietal of coffee, and an American whiskey. When we think of lit, we picture a reader enjoying a good book, and a state of being where someone is having a good time (sometimes with the help of liquid spirits),” the website states. “We’re inviting those who want to learn, work and connect to a space where curiosity and intellectual engagement thrive.”

The space will seat 40 and is expected to be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the filed paperwork.

The grand opening is listed as “coming soon” on the Bourbon + Lit website.
