The franchisees behind Poulet Rouge’s upcoming Rimouski restaurant are considering additional locations in Matane, Rivière-du-Loup, and Mont-Joli, Journal Le Soir reported.

Dominique Gagné, Nicolas Beaulieu, Jordan Pelletier-Thibault, and Félix Duguay are multi-unit franchisees for the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. The group has not announced addresses or development timelines for the potential restaurants.

Their Rimouski restaurant will open October 6 in the former Chocolats Favoris space at 371 Avenue Léonidas Sud in Quartier D’Astous.

What Now Montreal first reported on plans for the Rimouski restaurant in June, when it was expected to open by the end of summer.

Poulet Rouge specializes in customizable grilled chicken bowls. Customers choose a format, chicken flavor, base, toppings, and sauce. The menu also includes the smaller Rouge Mini and a customizable Rouge Poutine, along with options for different dietary needs.

CEO Moussa Madi and Bilal Jaffal founded Poulet Rouge in 2012. Follow Poulet Rouge on Instagram for updates on the Rimouski restaurant and potential expansion in the region.
