Annapolis has given a tentative ok to a new home for gas and convenience. Royal Farms has received conditional approval to develop a location on the former Annapolis Seafood Market property, reports Eye on Annapolis.

The establishment, coming to Forest Drive and Tyler Avenue, will look a little bit different than what was initially proposed. While Royal Farms originally planned for 10 pumps with 20 fueling positions, The Annapolis Planning Commission allowed for only 6 pumps with 12 fueling positions.

The Royal Farms market will span 5,700 square feet. Visitors will be able to purchase basic grocery staples as well as grabbing a bite to eat.

The conditional approval suggests that Royal Farms’ new Annapolis location is not quite a done deal. Locals, however, are enthusiastic about seeing the lot reinvigorated after sitting vacant since 2022.

Royal Farms has established itself as one of the premiere convenience stores, thanks in no small part to its “always fresh never frozen” fried chicken drawing in hungry visitors looking for a quick, easy, and delicious meal on the go.
