An award-winning ice cream shop is bringing its acclaimed sweet treats to North Bethesda. Always Ice Cream Company is opening a new location in Pike & Rose, with aspirations of opening next month, reports local media outlet Moco Show.
Always is bringing a very different energy to its upcoming 11802 Rockville Pike storefront; the space previously housed a PetWell Clinic. Owned by Adam and Mark Cohen, the ice creamery does not yet have a precise opening date, however it aims to be customer-ready by late November.
Always’s new home will provide it with 1,200 square feet of space in which to serve up its more than 250 flavors of ice cream. The storefront will be the concept’s ninth location, joining shops in Annapolis, Baltimore, Crofton, Edgewater, Pasadena, Prince Frederick and Severna Park. Co-owner Marc Cohen previously told Bethesda Magazine that the Pike & Rose space is particularly significant to him and his brother, saying: “It was always on our list and always one of our dreams to be up in Montgomery County. So, we’re excited to be there.”
The Always Ice Cream Company website explains a bit about the Cohen brothers’ inspiration, as well as offering Pike & Rose a glimpse of what’s in store: “We grew tired of the ubiquitous “old-style ice cream parlor” with only the limited, standard flavors and sought to introduce an entirely new ice cream experience – one that not only prioritizes top-tier ice cream but elevates the customer experience through modern aesthetics and a rotation of 200+ unique and delicious flavors.”
