According to public filings, Culinary Dropout plans to open at 14401 Wentwood Ave., Suite D170, within Fields West in Frisco.
Culinary Dropout comes from Phoenix-based hospitality group Fox Restaurant Concepts and is known for its sprawling patio, live music, and a menu that balances comfort food with a laid-back, communal atmosphere.
The concept’s signature offerings include oversized soft pretzels with beer cheese, fried chicken, burgers, and an extensive bar program, all designed for the kind of long, unhurried meal that turns into a night out, according to the brand’s website.
What Now Dallas reached out to Culinary Dropout representatives to inquire about the opening timeline but did not hear back prior to publication. Permitting lists a construction completion date targeted for July 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive.
The Frisco location is part of a massive wave of new concepts coming to Fields West, a 55-acre, $800 million urban village within the broader Fields master-planned community along the Dallas North Tollway. The development is 75% pre-leased, and openings are expected to be phased starting in late 2027 through 2028, according to Community Impact.
Culinary Dropout would join an ambitious lineup that includes Mastro’s Steakhouse, Maman, North Italia, Mexican Sugar, Crate & Barrel, among others, according to Fields West.
What Now Dallas has previously covered various concepts headed to the same development, including SusieCakes and Mastro’s Steakhouse.
