A new Mexican restaurant is set to open in downtown Boyertown this fall.

Taqueria Las Vias, owned by Pablo Cruz, will open at 116 E. Philadelphia Ave. in the former Carmelo’s Pizza and Italian Ice space, according to a post from Berks County Views.

The post generated enthusiasm among the community.

“We are excited to welcome them to Boyertown!” commented Building a Better Boyertown, the borough’s Main Street organization.

Cruz, who also owns Taqueria El Habanero, told Whatnow Philadelphia he’s also eager to open another restaurant.

The menu will mirror its sister concept, featuring traditional Mexican fare such as quesadillas, burritos, nachos, tacos, tostadas and tortas.

Taqueria Las Vias plans to open during the first week of November.  Stay tuned!
