CD and game collectors are getting a new option in Portage this year.
The used games and tech store chain DiscReplay is coming to Portage at 6800 S Westnedge Avenue, Suite H. This is the company’s first Kalamazoo-area location, on the north side of Portage. From recent posts, the company owners are hoping to open by the end of the year.
The first Disc Replay debuted in Downers Grove, Illinois in 1994. From there, the company expanded across the Midwest and into the South, and now operates 11 stores in Michigan. The company is now led by longtime franchisees Nick Leja and Nathan Abner, who were not available at the time What Now Detroit reached out for comment.
The store is opening at The Carillon Centre shopping center, sharing the building with International Yoga and J. Jill women’s clothing store. The center is also close to a Best Buy and Denver Mattress store at the intersection of Romence Road Parkway. This is north of downtown Portage.
Those visiting the new store can expect many of the same products at their other locations, including movies, TV shows, vinyl, cassettes, consoles and trading cards. More information on DiscReplay can be found on their website.
