Pub Gaijin will celebrate its official opening on Thursday, November 5, at 808 Boulevard Rosemont. After quietly opening its doors a few months ago, this new neighbourhood destination brings together the spirit of Asian culture and the convivial atmosphere of a Montreal pub.
ON THE MENU: shareable dishes, unique cocktails and the welcoming atmosphere of a place determined to put down roots in Rosemont.
A DRINK AND A REASON TO STAY
An after-work drink, a game with friends, a dinner that stretches into the evening: Gaijin shifts gears as the night unfolds. In a warm and slightly offbeat setting, music and lighting help set the mood. Gaijin means “foreigner” in Japanese, but the goal is to make everyone feel right at home. An inclusive and festive gathering place!
TATAKIS AND COCKTAILS MADE FOR SHARING
Pub Gaijin offers a short, accessible menu designed for sharing several dishes and keeping the conversation going. Beef and tuna tatakis are served alongside chicken and vegetable dumplings. At the bar, the Minamoto combines sake, lavender, jasmine and lychee kombucha, and lemon. Food and cocktails come together to give the evening its distinctive Asian-inspired flavour.
LE PETIT SECRET THINKS BIG
Gaijin is also home to Le Petit Secret, a private room that can accommodate up to 80 guests. Intimate performances, karaoke nights, podcasts and private events all have a space of their own, bringing people together and giving every occasion its own atmosphere.
THREE BACKGROUNDS, ONE SHARED VISION
Derrière le projet se retrouvent Behind the project are François Boitard (Rouge Bar, People, Don B Comber), Alex Grenier (Château Taillefer Lafond) and Nicolas Wilson (host at Énergie 94.3). Together, they want to create a neighbourhood destination where people can connect naturally and familiar faces quickly become part of the scene.
