A modern Greek fast-casual eatery is expanding its Manhattan footprint with two new locations.
The Gyro Project will open in Hell’s Kitchen at 787 8th Ave. and in Union Square at 107 E. 14th St.
The new locations will join the eatery’s existing Manhattan outposts in Midtown East, Midtown West, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, Murray Hill and Hudson Yards, along with another recently opened location in Hell’s Kitchen.
The Gyro Project’s menu features house-stacked meats, imported olive oils and seasonings.
“We’re all about bringing the best Greek Street food to your table, that gets your taste buds begging for more. We’re all about making you Opa Your Mouth!” the website reads.
Guests can build their own pitas or bowls with proteins such as beef and lamb gyro, chicken souvlaki, lemon herb salmon, chicken gyro, chicken schnitzel and falafel, along with a variety of toppings and sauces.
The menu also features signature entrees and salads, including the “I’ll Have the Salmon,” which pairs grilled Atlantic salmon with lemon potatoes, Mediterranean salad, gigante beans, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. The “Prassani Salad” combines shredded romaine, scallions, fresh dill and crumbled feta tossed in house-made Greek goddess vinaigrette.
For a sweet ending, guests can complete their experience with Greek frozen yogurt.
The Gyro Project has not yet announced an official opening date, but signage is up and its website reads, “Coming soon.”
