Crispy Cones plans to open at 3900 Berkman Drive, Suite 103, in Austin, according to a project filing registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The $310,000 interior build-out will include a dough preparation area, a kitchen, and dining and service areas. Work is scheduled to begin December 1, 2026, and finish May 25, 2027. An opening date has not been announced.
Jeremy and Kaitlyn Carlson started the business in 2018, selling desserts from a roadside tent in Rexburg, Idaho. Jeremy drew inspiration from his time in the Czech Republic and its trdelník pastries. The couple later pitched Crispy Cones on Shark Tank and secured a deal with the businesswoman and investor Barbara Corcoran.
The brand has since expanded to Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, South Carolina, New Jersey, Utah, Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, Texas, Virginia, and Montana.
In Texas, the brand operates at 2200 N. Frazier St., Suite 135, in Conroe. The Austin location would expand Crispy Cones’ presence.
Crispy Cones makes its cones from fresh dough cooked on a rotisserie grill, then coated with cinnamon sugar or another flavor. Customers choose a spread, soft serve, toppings, and sauce to fill and finish the pastry.
