Stoop Kid plans to open at Jefferson House, at 8310 W. Jefferson Street in downtown Peoria, Phoenix New Times reports.

Owner Steve McMillen opened Stoop Kid at The Churchill in downtown Phoenix in 2020. The restaurant at 901 N. First Street began serving bagel sandwiches and coffee in the morning, followed by burgers later in the day.

Its current burger menu includes the Stoop, with Tillamook cheddar, caramelized onions, dill pickles, and Fancy Sauce on a brioche bun. Other choices include a burger topped with a fried egg, a house-made veggie burger, and grilled cheese. Sides include curly fries, tater tots, and fried mac and cheese balls with hot honey. The shop also serves cold brew and chocolate ganache cookies.

The Peoria restaurant would be Stoop Kid’s third location, joining its original shop and a kitchen planned for The Joy Lush Club at 24 W. Camelback Road in Uptown Phoenix.

Jefferson House is targeting a November 2026 opening, according to its website. An opening date specifically for Stoop Kid has not been confirmed.

Banquet Hospitality Group and the team behind The Churchill are developing Jefferson House in partnership with the city of Peoria. Restaurants and shops will share a courtyard with more than 300 covered seats, a bar, a live music stage, and a splash pad.
