Pizza brand Mister O1 has a new location in the pipeline in Atlanta. Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta spotted signage for the pizza spot at a 2,043-square-foot space at The Juniper at 1081 Juniper Street. It is expected to open next year.
Mister O1 has three existing locations in Sandy Springs, Inman Park and Buckhead. Franchisees Miguel Blatt, Brandon Weitz and Daniel Scala are expanding the brand in Atlanta.
Chef Renato Viola founded the brand after immigrating to the U.S. from Southern Italy. While in Italy, he apprenticed with some of Italy’s best pizza chefs. When he came to the U.S., he traveled under the O1 Visa category for “Extraordinary Artistic Ability” — hence the name of the pizza brand he founded, Mister O1.
The pizzas are made with locally-sourced or Italian-sourced ingredients and are served with a thin crust and light dough. Menu items include Hawaiian pizza, meat lovers, Vittoria (which includes roasted chicken, Italian parmesan and basil) and Riccardo (with mushrooms, zucchini, spinach and a roasted red pepper puree). There are also “extraordinary” pizzas available, some of which are star-shaped, as well as dessert options like nutella pizza and a vegan hazelnut chocolate pizza.
In addition to the Georgia locations, there are Mister O1 locations in Florida, North Carolina and Texas.
