According to public filings, Maman plans to open a new location at 1701 S. University Dr. in Fort Worth.

What Now Dallas reached out to Maman representatives for information about the opening timeline but did not receive a response before publication.

Permitting records list a construction completion date of March 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive.

Maman is a New York-born bakery and cafe known for its French-inspired menu of pastries, quiches, soups, salads, sandwiches, and tartines, alongside a coffee program.

The brand launched in New York in 2014 and opened its first Texas location at 4004 Villanova St. in Dallas’ Preston Center on November 20, 2025, which the company says was also its 50th location.

The Fort Worth filing adds to a busy stretch of Maman announcements across the region. What Now Dallas reported on the Preston Center debut, and later covered a Casa Linda Plaza location at 1152 N. Buckner Blvd.

Maman co-founder Elisa Marshall told The Dallas Morning News in mid-April 2026 that the company was turning its focus to Dallas amid a nationwide expansion, and that its founders were looking across Dallas-Fort Worth for places to open.

The new cafe would sit on South University Drive, a corridor that includes WestBend and University Park Village.
