Known for opening transcendent dining concepts like Tacos Del Cartel and Sushi By Us, Veho Hospitality is preparing to open a Peruvian concept in the Central Business District at 930 Poydras St. Rather than limiting its menu to recognizable staples like ceviche, the concept aims to highlight the vibrant cultural synthesis that defines Peruvian food — ranging from Afro-Peruvian anticuchos and Chinese-influenced lomo saltado to Japanese-style tiradito and Spanish-Andean causa limeña. Coupled with a dedicated pisco bar program, Inka will draw a direct parallel between Peru’s rich history of culinary crosscurrents and those of New Orleans. The restaurant has posted to social media that it will be “opening soon.”
Veho Hospitality continues to expand its regional restaurant portfolio with footprints from Baton Rouge to New Orleans to Florida. Known for developing distinct, immersive concepts, the group’s local profile includes Taqueria Carnalito, which is located in the suite adjacent to the upcoming Inka. What Now New Orleans has reached out to the group for additional details on Inka.
