Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie is planning a restaurant in Val-d’Or, Quebec. According to TVA Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the restaurant could open at 1830, 3e Avenue, near Pizza Salvatoré, and the paperwork has reportedly been signed. The project has not been officially confirmed, and the Abbatiello group is still searching for a suitable space, so no opening date has been announced.

The company is looking for a space of about 5,000 square feet, plus a 1,000-square-foot terrace, according to TVA. Élisabeth Abbatiello, a partner and vice president of communications at the group, told the outlet that finding a location is a challenge, especially in the regions.

The Shaker banner currently has 27 restaurants across Quebec. Its concept combines a restaurant with a cocktail bar.

Shaker restaurants serve tartares and burgers alongside a wide range of cocktails. Listings for existing locations also show poke bowls, nachos, baby back ribs and sangrias. The company describes its restaurants as places where friends and families can gather for a shared meal in a festive setting, according to TVA.

The Abbatiello group recently took over the Shaker brand, according to the Quebec restaurant site Resto en ligne.
