Ole’s Guacamoles is preparing to return to Asheville at 4 Sweeten Creek Road in Biltmore Village, where renovations are underway at the restaurant’s new home. According to an Instagram post by the Citizen Times, an exact reopening date has not been announced.

Founded by Ole and Elena Delatorre, the family-owned Mexican restaurant first opened in Black Mountain in 2007 and has since expanded its presence across the region. According to the restaurant’s official website, the business offers dine-in, carryout and catering services, serving customers across its locations in Western North Carolina and Tennessee.

The new Asheville restaurant will occupy the former Moe’s Original BBQ space on Sweeten Creek Road, bringing the business to a different part of the city.

Hurricane Helene caused severe flooding at Ole’s former Asheville location on South Tunnel Road and its Black Mountain restaurant. The family continued working to keep the business operating during the recovery, including opening a temporary location at 502 W. State Street in Black Mountain in November 2024, as previously reported by local news outlets.

With renovations still underway, customers will have to wait for confirmation of the opening date before planning a visit.
