“LEXINGTON, WE’RE COMING!” said a Facebook post published by Columbia restaurant Cuban Corner this month. “With full hearts, we’re excited to share that The Cuban Corner is opening its second location in Lexington, South Carolina!”

Cuban Corner serves “Rich, Flavorful Cuban Comfort Food” at 1212 Hampton St. in Columbia. The menu includes featured items like Churrasco Steak, Cuban Palomilla Steak, Cuban Corner’s Chicken Fricassee, and Pernil.

“Our Cuban restaurant brings real home-style cooking made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes,” says the restaurant’s website. “The space is simple, colorful, and built for everyday meals. Guests from all backgrounds are welcome to enjoy Cuban food made with care in a friendly and relaxed setting.”

According to coverage by the Post and Courier Free Times, the new Cuban Corner will join the Shoppes at Flight Deck, with an opening expected before the end of the year.

“What began with a tent, a family, and a dream to share the flavors of Cuba has grown into something we’re so proud of,” the Cuban Corner Facebook post continues. “Thank you for every kind word, every visit, and every bit of support that helped bring us here. We can’t wait to welcome you, serve you food made with love, and create many more memories together. Lexington, get ready for a little taste of Cuba!”
