Publix Liquors, a beverage retailer offering spirits, beer, wine, and cocktail mixers, is preparing to open a new location in Winter Park at 743 S. Orlando Avenue, next to the existing Publix grocery store.

The new store will occupy a vacant 1,313-square-foot space at Hollieanna Shopping Center, previously home to Couture Nails, according to the Orlando Business Journal. Boca Raton-based Comet Construction requested a permit on October 1 for the $431,000 construction and buildout. Publix anticipates opening the store in late first quarter of 2027, although it has not announced an exact date.

Hollieanna Shopping Center sits at the southwest corner of West Fairbanks and South Orlando avenues. Built in 1962 and remodeled in 2011, the shopping center is described as one of the longest-operating Publix-anchored shopping centers. Publix purchased the property, along with the neighboring Oakley Center, for $24.77 million in 2014.

The shopping center currently has several other tenants, including AAA Insurance and Travel Agency, Hair Cuttery, and Marco’s Pizza. Oakley Center, meanwhile, is anchored by Orange Tree Antique Mall, which occupies 14,850 square feet. Other businesses at the neighboring property include a hair salon, Sherwin-Williams paint store, and Moe’s Southwest Grill.

The new Publix Liquors will offer customers bourbon, whiskey, vodka, tequila, rum, premixed cocktails, beer, wine, champagne, and mixers. The company also carries specialty beverages, including small-batch blends, botanicals, infusions, hard seltzers, and imported selections. Cocktail accessories, bar sets, and party favors are also part of its product lineup.

Publix currently operates more than 350 liquor stores across the Southeast, with two existing locations in Winter Park at 440 N. Orlando Ave. and 2295 Aloma Ave. The new store will give customers at the Hollieanna Shopping Center another option to pick up alcoholic beverages alongside their regular grocery purchases.
