What Now reported in the summer of 2024 on plans for Hachiya Ramen to open in Mount Pleasant, at 996 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. Now, a little over two years later, the restaurant is preparing to expand with a new Clements Ferry location, opening at 654 Hopewell Dr., Suite 110.

An opening was originally expected for November 2 but has been postponed.

“We were so excited to welcome you through our doors on November 2, but unfortunately, we’ll need to push back our grand opening as we wait on the final approval of our Certificate of Occupancy,” said a Facebook post published by Hachiya Ramen Mt. Pleasant. “While this is a little bump in the road, we’re still just as excited to bring Hachiya Ramen to the Clements Ferry community. We don’t have a new opening date just yet, but we’ll be sure to share one as soon as we get the green light.”

As “Charleston’s home for real Japanese Ramen,” Hachiya invites you to “Discover real Japanese ramen made the traditional way—slow-cooked broths, fresh noodles, and balanced flavors. Hachiya brings comfort, authenticity, and craftsmanship to every bowl served in Charleston.”

No new opening date has been revealed yet, but stay tuned for an update once the new opening is announced.
