Pizzeria Virtù is planning a restaurant in Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, according to a liquor license application filed with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. The filing lists 3800 E. Sky Harbor Boulevard, space T4 F12-B.

Plans call for a 1,290-square-foot restaurant with 60 dining seats and seven bar chairs. The floor plan submitted with the application allocates 890 square feet to the kitchen and 400 square feet to dining.

Chef and owner Gio Osso told What Now Phoenix that an opening date has not been set. The expansion will bring him back to the airport, where he previously worked and met his business partner.

The airport restaurant will occupy a larger space than the Scottsdale pizzeria, which could allow menu additions. For now, however, Osso expects to serve a similar selection.

Osso opened Virtù Honest Craft at 3701 N. Marshall Way in 2013, marking the debut of his own restaurant with a Mediterranean-inspired menu. Pizzeria Virtù followed in 2020 at 6952 E. Main Street. At the pizzeria, guests can find Neapolitan pizza, pasta, salads, and small plates, along with cocktails, beer, and wine.
