BODYBAR Pilates is set to debut in Tomball soon! According to a recently filed permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, BODYBAR Pilates is expected to open in Northwest Harris County at 14080 FM 2920 Rd, Suite 1408C.
“We anticipate opening in early 2027, with our grand opening celebration planned for March,” franchisee Erica Beal said in an interview with What Now Houston.
“In the meantime, we’re already bringing the community together through free mat Pilates classes, local events, and opportunities to meet our team before our doors officially open.”
Beal will open the new Pilates studio with Jeremy Beal in the Tomball Town Center. The shopping center is near the northeast corner of Texas State Highway 249/Tomball Parkway and FM 2920 and is anchored by Kroger.
“Tomball was intentional. We’ve watched this community grow while holding on to what makes it special: connection, collaboration, and supporting local businesses,” Beal shared.
“We wanted to be part of that growth, and Tomball Town Center offers a convenient, accessible location where we can build lasting relationships with our neighbors.”
Built around these three principles, Balance, Athleticism, and Real Community, the new studio has the perfect franchisees for the job.
“After 23 years of military service, including Jeremy’s career as a Navy SEAL, our family began a new chapter in Texas,” Beal said.

“As a military spouse, I understand the importance of finding community and connection. Pilates became a personal passion, and we saw an opportunity to turn that passion into something meaningful for others. We wanted to create more than a fitness studio. We wanted to build a place where people feel connected, challenged, and inspired to grow.”
Steve and Laurie Gatlin opened the first BODYBAR studio in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in 2012. The company was incorporated in Texas on December 16, 2014. Kamille and Matt McCollum opened their own BODYBAR studio in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2016, after experiencing the workout as clients. They began building foundational marketing and operational systems.
“BODYBAR Tomball is more than a Pilates studio. With 14 reformers, two private wellness and one-on-one coaching rooms, and a curated lifestyle boutique, we’re bringing movement, personalized wellness, and community together under one roof. Because wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all,” Beal said.

“It’s reformer Pilates that challenges your body, strengthens your mind, and brings people together. Whether it’s your first class or your 400th, there’s a place for everyBODY. As our Project Manager, Ariana Nunez, beautifully describes it:
‘A new kind of strength, a new kind of confidence, a new relationship with myself.'”
In 2019, the McCollums officially partnered with the original founders to take over executive leadership and scale the concept into a national franchise system. Over the next few years, the brand expanded rapidly across multiple states, growing from 46 open studios at the start of 2025 to 73 by the end of 2025.
This September, BODYBAR opened its 100th studio in Presidio, hosting a large-scale event celebrating 100 years of Pilates. There are now more than 15 BODYBAR Pilates studios in Texas, with at least four in the Greater Houston area.

“We’re transforming an empty commercial space into a place where people feel welcomed, supported, and connected. Our Studio Manager, Nathalie Hernandez, captures our philosophy beautifully: ‘You don’t have to change your body to belong here,'” Beal shared.
“Our Project Manager, Ariana Nunez, shares that same vision: ‘A building more than a studio; creating a place to find connection, discover strength, and inspire one another to become more.’ We’re also committed to creating opportunities for local businesses, military spouses, veterans, and future Pilates instructors.”
What Now also reached out to McCollum to find out more about expansion plans. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
